Dont get me wrong the n54 is a hell of a motor and I beat my fair share of evos when I had it but I just didn't have fun doing it, I feel like with the evo Im more in touch with the car unlike bmw where there is a sensor everywhere and is too luxories for a race car lol

Thats what i mean about evos. If your not an evo guy, you just dont get it. Theyre very special in many ways. Theres a lot of feed back, drama, confidence to driving own that is irreplaceable. I would love to own a a VI one day along my X.

The N54 is a very nice engine, but i dont think it has the potential evo engines do.

Evo is like a house party.
Bmw is like a wine tasting. Alcohol is alcohol but you'll have vastly different experiences.

When I bought my GSR X last November, it came down to a 5 series or an Evo. I'm glad I made the choice to go with the Evo. The final deciding factor was simply due to the fact that I can drive down the 101 and see about 15 5 series in a matter of about 5 miles. I can drive the entire 101 and likely not see another Evo. Looks factor and rarity was a big selling point for me with the Evo. I get so many people that say to me "What is that? I've never even seen a car like that"

I have a highly modified turbo e46 m3 and a lightly modified (for now) evo 9 mr. I love both cars but I will say that a properly modified e46 m3 will feel just as 'fun' as any evo out there- I can promise you that. I roll race + track my e46 m3, on 93 it makes ~470whp and is good for ~720whp on e85. It's sitting on ohlins coils and handles like no other. The m3 feels much more 'solid' compared to the evo, but I honestly love both cars for different reasons.

That's the thing the e46 m3 is a car that still didn't have all the sensors and knick knacks the new bmws have now and was still a fun car, I have a buddy with a track m3 and it's a fun car don't get me wrong, I still like bmws but I'd rather drive my evo

I was looking at e46 m3s for 6 months before I bought my evo. I backed out of a deal for an m3 with pretty low mileage because my gut was telling me to not do it.

I bought a new Evo 2 weeks later and I couldn't be happier. I still want to own an m3 one day but it feels so good to be in a car you don't see every day.

Such a shame you sold your previous X. Glad you got another one though. I'm pretty sure I've seen your wicked white before.
