Hello everyone. I got a question regarding turbo boost..


I beleive the stock boosts 1.4-1.5 bar but mine hits 2.0 at full throttle...


not always but when I suddenly step on gas it does...


If I accelerate slowly, it does not go above 1.5 for sure even at full throttle though.

Oh mine is Evo X MR with lightly moded with...


AMS intercooler, short ram intake, downpipe, high flow cat, and Greddy SE catback
I couldn't tune up ECU yet though...


I have one more question. Would it be bad for car if I run stock ECU after doing these mods?

 

It's a ticking bomb if you don't have it tuned.

 

I had a similar issue with mine but the cause was the clutch slipping when you initially hit the throttle. Not sure if the same will occur with an MR though.

 

I agree as said above, just a ticking time bomb if not tuned, what's the point of moding the car yet and not tuning it, you will hardly yield any HP
