New WW Special Edition owner here

Hey everyone! I've been a long time lurker here on the forums. I'm a Subaru guy at heart(Last 4 cars were all STI's), but decided I'd give the Evo a shot after riding in my friend's GSR. I can honestly say that I'm thoroughly impressed with the way the car handles and the way it feels overall!

It's roomier than I thought a rally car could be, it's more comfortable for long trips due to the SST, it drives like a DREAM, and I love the way it looks most importantly. I do miss the boxer rumble, but I don't think I'm going to miss blown ringlands, oil consumption, and convoluted fuel/vacuum plumbing

Not trying to go crazy and void the warranty, so I'll be sticking to the basic boltons for now, and a solid tune. I hear Kozmic is the way to go, but I'm in Jersey and they're out in Houston. I usually have PSIPro do all my tuning, but with the SST I think I want someone a little more in depth with this platform. Maybe CBRD in York?

Also, should i get rid of the Tsudo exhaust I ordered and switch from the Cobb AP to OpenSource? Over in the Subaru world we rarely mess with OpenSource since Cobb is so prevalent and works well for that platform. Just want to know if it's worth the hassle or not.

Congrats.

They won't honor the warranty with bolt ons and a tune. I would have already started modding if this wasn't the case.

edit: They MIGHT not.

That stinks. Looks like it'll be bone stock for a while. Maybe I'll just flash an OTS map with the Cobb and then go back to stock if I need any warranty work done. I didn't think A turbo back(minus the o2 housing) would be a big deal.

Congratulations on the new ride!
If you're in Jersey you might wanna check out Iveytune in Linden.
As far as bolt ons and warranty, put it back to stock if you're gonna take it to the stealership for any work. Everyone says Mitsu is notorious for trying to find any little reason to void your warranty. Otherwise, best of luck and glad you came over to this side

Dealer in cherry hill is mod friendly, unless you roll in with a blown motor and fp red still on, then...maybe.

I'm not speaking from experience, just what I've heard on here. Some people say there are mod friendly dealers but as far as I know, it goes up the chain and it's not up to the dealer to decide whether or not to fix something.

They're able to see changes to the ecu even if you go back to stock.

edit: I'm being a buzzkill lol. Just trying to let you know so you're not surprised. No clue about that dealer so good luck.

I was actually going to buy a 2014 from them about a month ago, but they were a little too pushy with the purchase. Waited it out and found this one at a dealer in PA. I'll be sure to go back and let them handle any work I need done. They might be a little salty about me not buying from them LOL. I'm right down the street from the Cherry Hill Triplex so it won't be a problem getting there.

Congrats OP, WW is an awesome color. I had a tossup between actually going with WW, but I had to go RR for tradition and namesake.

throwing that kind of information out- isnt exactly accurate- it all depends on your dealer (and service rep's) comfort level-

we have an outstanding relationship with our dealer- they even replaced a cylinder head on a X that had an issue- and the car had our tune/3port/ and an exhaust
