T6 is 5w40
I used a ea15k13 filter. I don't know if it's overkill because it's rated for 15k miles but I'll probably swap it out my next oil change. Changed my oil at 1.5k miles and I'll change again around 4k.

Is there a lot of people running the rotella t6? Would mobil 0w40 be any "better"?

I think quite a few evo owners run it.
I'm a newbie but I researched it for a while on here and other forums. It seems like mobil is more likely to shear/thin out at higher temperatures faster than other oils. No test I saw showed it to be any better than other oils out there.
Apparently most oils don't have as many additives anymore but T6 seemed to still have pretty good numbers.

You guys actually recommend 40weight oil?
What is the reason behind it?
Does it depend on modification level of your car? Or application of the car? I can see if you road race a lot, 40 weight might make sense.
I have been following factory recommend 5w30 since 1st oil change.
