Hey guys! been searching this site for a while and cant find anything to resolve my question..
Im looking to install LED Lights in the centre grill (like the picture I included) but I want a switch to turn them on/off inside the car.. anyone know an easy way to run the wires through the firewall? I'd rather not run them down the fender and through the door.. I want it to be a clean install
If your not trolling....then yes there is a plug on the passanger side that goes into the car..but if you even have to ask i would just take it to a profesional....Or just dont and dont look rice..
LOL. It could look clean if done correctly....maybe
But there are a few grommets in the firewall that you could use....including the clutch knockout if you have a MR.
Just make sure you properly insulate and shield the wires as they pass through the engine bay and firewall. And that you use a properly sized fuse on all power connections.
Thanks for the advice guys.. wether its ricer or not I think it looks cool =P and it's a legit question not trolling.. I have an idea of where I'm going to run the wires bur I wanted to ask around to see if anyone knew a better way.

Best advice i can give (besides what was in my last post) is to run the new wires with the factory harness as much as possible. Makes for a cleaner install and since most factory wiring is routed away from/around heat and moving parts it usually the best path to take anyway.
Around here straight blue lights on a car means snow removal. So I'd be fine. Either way I'm not looking to have them on while I drive. Strictly for when it's parked.. kind of like the demon eyes people do
You can splice them into the fog light wires and they will work with the fog light switch. I have fog light delete kit so my fog light switch is not in use. They will only work with the head lights on though.
Instead of putting your personal opinion(s) in, because obviously he doesn't give a damn, just answer the man's questions and leave?
Good concept Felix. I've not seen the grill lights on an Evo before. Saw them in RAs and Lancers. Post pictures when you're done!
I would follow everyone else and run it through the passenger side grommet through the firewall. It's fairly easy and accessible and looks nice.
