Who has done the warranty recall for the evo x clutch master cyl? how was the pressure feel to you after recall? did you notice it went to gear easier? was it a better engagement? anybody running aftermarket clutch with this second version? I know the first ones burst open but I haven't heard of the recalled one failing.

 

People complained about it feeling more spongy after the recall prolly because mitsu didnt bleed the line properly. The second version is pretty much same as the first just uses a different adhesive i think was the explanation.

 

My experience. very soft at first then after 10 miles it became much harder. I would say harder than the first one. must be the size and slight design difference. there is more play to me in the pedal at first and the engagement is a little lower as well. the master cyl seemed to add more foricable pressure to me. the clutch engages much harder.

the gears are much much easier to get into gear now when the trans is cold and shift much nicer once warmed up. I think this is a much needed upgrade for sure. kinda how ive felt so far.

I plan to go straight to AMS CMC instead. I have heard many cases recall CMC failed on aftermarket clutches.

 

You "heard" can you please provide proof of this. I know I can find 5 or 6 threads on failed cmc on the first version but can't find anything on the new one. Anybody can "hear" somthing

 

Mine felt just about the same after recall. No issues here.

 

Same here. My dealer took about 6 hours to do it. They bled my brakes, which I believe was required, and changed the Trans fluid also which I don't think is required. Also, I'm on a Cobb Stage 3, and ACT clutch for about 35k miles since the recall.

 

They don't have to take brake master cyl off. It's not required to bleed brakes. But that's great that your aftermarket clutch with new cmc and no issues
