Unhappy goodbye evo x

So someone pulled out of a gas station and hit my car. after the initial hit i was pushed through a telephone pole. the other drivers insurance has claimed full liability in the accident but that doesn't matter to me really. after 4 years of building and tinkering to get it where i wanted and i was so close to my goal of 500+ wheel and now the car is totaled.

First things first, I hope everyone was okay and no one was injured. Second, that sucks was a good looking car, like the color of it. Maybe its a sign to start a new journey with a new car or something else. Whatever, your path is good luck with it and keep us informed!

See if your insurance will let you go to the yard to take out your aftermarket parts and replace them back to stock parts. That's what i did and saved myself thousands of dollars. Just tell them you will replace them with OEM parts. they will let you. then let me know what you got

Well if I were you, I would just buy it back from insurance since its going to be dirt cheap and slowly build it back up. By your mod list in your sig, you've put a lot of time and money into it. Get something else and keep the X as a project

Maybe... talk to a lawyer? Whatever he damaged is your property, and he is liable to pay. If you go through insurance, they may bully you.

Sometimes in some states if you just forfeit the scrap value of the car insurance will let you have it. Check it out, worth forfeiting the 500 bucks to tinker around with it.

Damn dude hope everyone is OK. I say buy it back from their insurance company and pull working parts and get a used one with a blown motor or something and drop yours in.

thanks for the kind words guys. the insurance adjuster should be looking at it this week sometime and I'm definitely buying it back when they total it. thing that sucks most is i just put in the map ef4, taxicab manifold, ams dp, and ams cat. i was just tuned by rob at kaizen 4 weeks ago and car made 412\345 at the rubber at 25 psi and he couldn't do any more boost cause my maf was maxing out and the 255 wally was also maxed. was going to get the map 3.5 intake and the radium surge and go back for a retune plus an ms109 tune. I'm still undecided if I'm gonna search for an x with a blown motor or if I'm just gonna part it out. i know they aren't going to give me a ton for it even though the car only had 40k on it, blue book on it is only 24k

Was the car still running ok (engine wise) after you got hit or did it die hard? It looks like the engine and everything else is in good shape? I know the car took a ton of damage but it seemed right to the side versus the front. Just curious, but maybe your goodies are still in one piece?

the engine stalled after the initial hit but i didn't lose any fluids or anything like that. i haven't been under the hood yet cause I'm having lower back issues from the accident but the car is at a shop of a buddy and he said it looks good.he did tell me my front passenger cr kai is in 4 pieces though which kinda sucks cause they are now discontinued and i can't find a replacement but i guess i will make a cool coffee table out of the remaining 3.
