I recently install a new kenwood double din it works for a week and just suddenly stop working it will just keep blinking red it looks like the car haven't been disarm yet, and also i lost all my orange illumination light for the night when you turn on your headlight it should light up also. But all the gauges mirror hazard dome light etc all works no problem, msybe is the white wire i ****ed up that connected to the hazard control and the stock radio thats connected in there the white skinny wire. Just need help if anyone encounter this problem

Do you have the RF system? Are you talking about the white ribbon that's connected behind the hazard lights button? If so you don't need it. I just installed a aftermarket HU yesterday and the dash kit didn't come with that ribbon cable anymore. It doesn't affect the drivability or anything anyway. Check your wiring

 

If you lost illumination you definitely blew a fuse. But, fuses don't just blow so you probably have a wiring problem. Could be you pinched the illumination wire when you put the HU in.

How did you connect the HU wiring to the factory wiring? Solder/Heatshrink or other.

 

yes i have rf system, you are right it doesn't affect anything but for some reason i don't why all the illumination lights are gone and also the new kenwood i installed stop working for some reason it works for a week and all of a sudden stop, i was just wondering maybe the white ribbon wire will affect in it, and also all the fuses i checked out all of them are good i tested it none of it are broken i have the test light even the illumination fuse or dome light fuse works, any idea what could it be. and also i tested my head unit the kenwood it works i put it direct to the battery it turns on and i install back the stock radio it turns on everything i just don't have the lights thats all, maybe thats why the kenwood stop working thats what i suspect

 

i have the mito 02 plug and play wiring harness so from the HU to the original harness its plug and play and also the one from mito 02 to the radio harness is wire to wire i just connect them and put a electrical tape it works before it just stop working thats all

 

But how did you connect them? If you just twisted the wires together, I'm guessing you have a loose/bad connection. Solder and heat shrink if you can, or crimp connect them.
