Almost sounds like it was improperly tuned if it is smooth in some spots and rough in others. Properly tuned, as mine is, it's still smooth everywhere.

I see you are from Chicago, Downers and Aurora have a number of MRs (2015) and GSRs (new and used) right now if you are looking out this way.

I know some people argue that you don't buy an Evo to not drive spirited, but if you ever play the MPG game, that 6th gear is magic. 40mi drive to school one way, it's typically 26-29 MPG following speed limit... obviously plummets if you don't. Practically bone stock (just drop in filter and tune atm).

Have class tomorrow, I can't promise 29 tomorrow since that was my highest, but it will fall in that 26-29.

Are you pulling your car with a donkey, or perhaps pushing it? When do you shift? Have you ever gone faster than 10mph?

Inquiring minds want to know how you achieve these results!

Definitely driving. I keep the car at 2.5k Rpm in 6th when I'm cruising home since it puts me around 50-60, and the limit is 55 on the merit parkway. I'm on that road for about 40m.

BTW: Is it really that unbelievable to get 26-29 MPG by actively not going into boost? I'll still take the picture, I'm just baffled that people think it's unbelievable. I get around 20-23 driving shifting around 3K, and 13-17 driving around ....well you know. So it's the same car... It's just I actively play the mpg game for ****s and giggles if I'm on the highway for over 40m (going to school).
