Chicago E85 variability (non-seasonal)
Chicago E85 variability (non-seasonal)
Not sure where to best post this info since it mainly pertains to Chicago folks however, make sure to test your E since the % varies greatly regardless of seasonal changes.
What I noticed is that my local Shell stations (all 3 of them in 60645) state "ethanol content is greater than 51%". I tested the "E85" to be E60 over the last 4-6 weeks. At Thornton's (60068), it states "ethanol content is greater than 70%" and the "E85" has actually been E90.
I was tuned on e78 so I end up blending the two but anyone running "E85" should definitely test what quality of ethanol you're actually getting.
I use one like this http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Holley...H_KhoC9nDw_wcB
