Time attack X's

Are there any evo x's shaking things up in TA? I know the evo 8's and 9's run that world but just wondering if there are any serious competitor evo x's around. I havent really seen anything apart from the old ams car and ryan gates car. Thanks.

Vsport Evo X took 2nd place in Australia in 2013 http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=163378

and clearly Ryan Gates thinks the X is a viable track plateform.

That said, the "blueprint" for making record setting 8/9's is far more established.

IMO the most exciting Evo in time attack atm is the SVA Evo 6 http://www.worldtimeattack.com/index...records-in-uk/

Are you talking about Time Attack, like the Redline TA program or similar or do you mean road racing/ time trial series (multiple cars on track, multiple heats) run by NASA, NARA, etc?

Check out the motorsports sections. Truth is, there are a number of Xs fully built for road racing/ time trials which are very competitive. It's a strong platform. So is the VIII, and IX of course. Much depends on the build, set up and track.

Given the reduction in lap times we've seen across the NE tracks in recent years, I would be surprised if the times set by Gates or others in the dedicated track cars of several years back would not have long since been replaced by other, better set up or more evolved Xs.

Well mainly any form of racing. I am not too interested in drag racing. I know the ct9a absolutely controls time attack. Imterested if the cz4a is just as good a platform or better when compared on the big budget track builds. I know they practically weigh the same once fully stripped. I am assuming its more because the VIII's are cheaper and still more known.
