I'm currently looking to purchase a Evo X and had a few questions that hopefully you guys can help me with.

GRS's, the only options were HID's (Sight), Rockford Fosgate system (Sound), Sunroof, navigation, and leather? Does one option only come with another option? Or could a GSR have only 1 or 2 of the above options?

When looking at cars online, they almost never mention if the car has HID's, is there anyway of telling if it does based on pictures?

How good is the rockford fosgate system?

With a non-navi car, can the radio be replaced, and still retain the steering wheel controls?

Does the sunroof motor come loose on the X as it did on some 8/9s?

Anything in particular that I should pay special attention to on the X?

Not sure on all the options, but I have the GSR SSS which has the HID's (in pictures it'll have a projector housing) with the NAVI + Rockford Fosgate, elevated spoiler and FAST key. I also have the standard cloth seats.

I thought leather + sunroof are only on the MR model which is TC-SST and BBS wheels.

 

it would always come with the sight and sound package. After either 2010 or 2011 the raised spoiler came standard on all GSR's. Yes the radio can be replaced and retain steering wheel controls. As far as the sunroof that's pretty much always only on the MR model. I would be surprised if you found a GSR with the sunroof option. Also try to get a 2010 or later model to avoid timing chain issues.

 

I'm looking for a 2012-2014, from what I found:
Sunroof = Leather
HID's = Rockford system
2013+ have touchscreen radios, not all are rockfords, not all have navi

 

you could also add 2011 to that list
