This is the first Mitsubishi anyone in my family has owned.... How well do they hold up? (to those who have owned a few before) I recently saw a 02 LS with 274,000 Miles for sale with original Engine/Trans.... Do you all expect the same from your Lancers like the Honda owners do from their Civics and Accords? I know its a kind of n00b question, but I have been curious about this for a while...

 

As long as you take care of it, it'll be fine.

 

I would never buy a car with 50k+ miles, much less 275k miles.


Other than that, mine has been really good to me since I've had it. (1 year)

 

From what I've seen, they hold up great. As you saw, since 275k is insane. amby said it best - take care of it, it takes care of you.

 

i hope mines last 200k plus miles....haha.

it will prolly be gone by than though.

 

Alright.. So its just about the same as any Japanese car. I bought my 04 with 57K on it, now it has 65K, and it was very well cared for. I have all the records from the previous owner who maintained the car at the dealership... Yeah 274K is a lot of miles I would never buy that, but if I can find it again I will post the link. The car actually looked clean for that many miles from what I could see in the pictures...

 

Yeah, they'll go the distance! Yes, post the link! that's probably the highest mileage one I've heard about.

 

I've got 150K on my 4g93...

 

mine is still working real good, going on 100k

 

108k and counting. I just keep giving it premium fluids and parts and it continues taking me where I want to go, as fast as it can. I've never owned a car for this long before. My last one had just hit 82k when it was totaled. Back then I thought that was a lot of miles. Now, I kind of see 100-120k as middle age.

 

This is good haha... Then I am expecting a lot of miles out of this car since I am very **** about getting fluids changed, and maintenance things done on time or right before they need to be completed...
