Evo's Bigger Brother
So.. The time has come as I am selling my Scotia white Evo IV which I have only owned for less than 6 months
.
Anyways, I've been looking for something new in the same/general price range.. and I have come accross a Galant VR-4. Now, I do not know much about these cars, but I have heard of them being basically an Evo and 3000GTO mixed together
. I quite like the aggressive front end and they seem more "spacious" on the interior. I however need assitance from someone who's knowledgeable about these cars since I want to buy the right year. You know, the one that was completely revamped of all its issues from the newest generation of its kind, much like my Evo 4 compared to the 5
The year I am looking at is the 1997-1999 and only this year frame. ie: Would the 1998/1999 be better to go with?
Anyone who has built or owned one of these and knows much about parts, common issues, and best mods/things to do to them please pm or share your info on here!

Well, I'm not looking for much power anymore :P I just had a kid. I would most likely just save up for 4 years and import an Evo 8mr or FQ400 once they're legal to have in Canada.
If you're in canada pretty sure that the late 90's v6 galant vr4 isnt a legal import anyways.
Meh who cares about legality? Just get a totalled evo 8's title from the states and register your fq400 import if you want. Honestly no point unless you want rhd. You can make the same power out of any evo 8 plus the 9s better.

Up to 1998 is legal for any jdm car to import this year. And I'm still going to have to wait to get an 8 or 9 either way :P I dont exactly have 25k to spill on another vehicle yet

I second that!! Such a perfect peice of visual engineering! And I would only go for the Super VR4. However, Can't say much about the engine :/ 2.5L with TT and only 271HP.. wtf? Could have done MUCH better, but thats not near as bad as the rediculous de-tuned USDM Galant VR4.
