The X is superior.

I loved my VIII and still miss it from time to time but I don't regret the upgrade.

In fact I have liked all 3 of my evos for different reasons.

I have read the Evo 8vs9vsX threads, but I'm wanting actual experience from people who have actually switched from the X to the CT9A platform, I have an Evo X and an Evo IX, and they both serve their jobs as they should. I was just trying to shed some insight on what people's reasoning for swapping back to the older chassis was.

I think lots more have gone forward than gone back. It would be super hard for me to go back. Now a second car VIII or IX in the garage someday? Sign me up.

i would only get an older version if it would be dirt cheap so i can build a rallycross car but i would never replace any of my X to an older version.

I owned some older Evo platform, some was only a race car. But the 2006 IX RS i had, was a DD first then a dedicated track car.

as far as i can see , there is literally no advantage to get an older version. Even aftermarket parts are cost closely a same now. Also the X has a development on a same engine platform etc over 6 years now. No other model has that. The Number it sold is also a lot more, so get used parts also easy and will be easier later too. ETC.
Tons of stuff go for the X, that is why i cant see myself swapping the X .

I was just poking fun. It's probably not the best question to ask in the X forum. Because....You know....They all still have theirs. LOL
