AMS Exhaust or ETS Exhaust
AMS Exhaust or ETS Exhaust
I'm trying to to figure out what exhaust to get the AMS Exhaust or the ETS. I want a single tip and was wondering the thoughts on the single tip exhaust from both companys ETS seems a little bit more price due to the fact i would get the atmosphere dump. My last exhaust I had which was in My Ralliart was too loud in cabin and would get annoying and that was the ultimate racing turbo back. Also wanted to know which one would I get the more power gains out of. .. Thanx in advance
I think you will like the ETS exhaust.
Here is a link to the exhaust on our website with a few videos
This is the exhaust that is going on my MR this week. I really like the single exit and personally I think they make the best power.
If you are worried about noise the open dump might not be the best option. The recirc will make right around the same power and be much quieter.

Either is good. I wouldn't over think it. I have a Frankenstein setup with AMS downpipe, ETS high flow cat, and Tomei titanium catback. If I had to do it all over again I would probably just get the same stuff. The fit on all the pieces was great, despite coming from different companies. (Being a light single exits does make the fitment easier though)

Yeah those spring lasted about 20 miles for me. Not necessary anyway.
I dislike the discoloring on my ETS V2 quiet ... its not a full quality stainless steel exhaust some area are lower grade stainless steel that change to brown rust. (i wish i knew before buying) .... I've wasted so much time and energy polishing my exhaust tip. I also spent too much money on 5 kinds of metal polish and 0000 steel wool to try to buff out the brown stain on the exhaust tip.
Most people will just say, "Buy Product X because that's what I bought. You can't go wrong with Product X!"
The only "features" that differentiate the two exhausts is that AMS uses a widemouth casting on their downpipe, and ETS has an available open dump. Also the AMS test pipe is basically straight and the ETS test pipe had a kink in it to leave more space between the driveshaft.
Beyond that you might as well flip a coin or pick the companies stickers that you like best. Both come from reputable companies and will perform similarly. I think the AMS stuff looks "prettier" if that matters.
