Not if you can get a brand new one for under 40. You always have to take "what ifs" into consideration. Roll the dice or pay more for new with warranty. You may have no problems for the next 50k miles, but the reality is 73k is getting up there and one major issue could cost thousands.
Just add up the possible associated costs. Clutch, transmission, or engine failure are all high dollar repairs that "could" happen.
I wouldn't do it, but maybe you are a mechanic? If not then get a really good inspection done before and drive a hard negotiation if a new one is not in the cards for you.

I got my 2010 SE for about 4 grand less than your MR with roughly the same amount of miles. I honestly do not feel bad about the purchase and I absolutely LOVE driving the car everyday. I did get an extended warranty and it paid for itself a million times over for the trans, but other than that, I have ZERO complaints.

The trans holds up quite nicely. It's one of the smoothest transmissions I've encountered. I have a blast driving it every single day!

25k for 73k mile Evo? I agree with AngryEvo, for what a new one cost, that seems like a bad idea. To me, 73k miles is a lot to step into.

You should search the forum. Lots of stories of it being a big dollar repair, and it doesn't seem unheard of either. It requires maintenance just like anything else, with that said still some of the stories on here have me thinking it isn't quite the strong point.

I'm going to try and talk the warranty in without additional cost, by the way it sounds its not worth the 25 solely

I just think you can find a lot better deal. Newer with less miles for that money.

Like everyone is telling you, look around. The price and mileage are horrible given what you can get a brand new one for.
