Yeah if your car is not throwing a code at the time, they will not replace under warranty.

Best bet is to relocate the pump to the trunk if you want it to last. Especially if you live on the rust belt.

It's throwing a code. Will be replaced in a week. I just bought the car in spring 2015. So I didn't receive the extended warranty letter. So I'm hopeful it will be covere since I only have 22k mikes.

oh yeah they will cover it if that's the case. unless they are one of those dealerships that ***** about bolt on mods.

I wanted to give an update to this issue. The light flashed for a total of a year. Dealership would not admit that the pump was failing and only did so till I got the awd maintenance required light. The pump ultimately failed and the replaced no questions asked. I have multiple mods including tune.

Please do tell where you went. I have so far went to 2 dealerships in my area and they keep blowing me off as "it's flashing because your wider diameter exhaust is overheating it"

we all know it's a load of crap... an exhaust that's 0.5 inches wider in diameter puts the pipe 0.25 inches closer to whatever it's "overheating"... no offense but that's just outright ridiculous.
