Probably the most popular brands are ETS, AMS and Cobb. I would lean towards ETS or AMS but that is just me.

So I asked my tuner ( who is def. not a self claimed pro tuner, need reference about him, send me a pm)

He said there is nothing you have to worry about the stock FE. Drive it, and enjoy it.
If you need more power, then you need to retune it (there is still room for improvement so def. not maxed out), other then that leave it , if you want to keep the warranty

I go with his first and foremost , but also with englishracing and razorlab opinion on this.

No worries

Rob
He didn't say a stock car, he said the stock tune after parts have been swapped out.

Anyway, I guess the FE's have to make that extra power somewhere and they did it in the tune? Sounds like it's stock tune isn't quite as "safe" as the others. No big deal, easy fix.

Hey guys, I'm sorry if I missed over this. But does this mean if I just did a cat back, or even a "muffler" delete it wouldn't be recommended without a tune? I'm trying to stay within warranty (still under 10k kms) the dealer said they're fine with "bolt on exhaust, suspension (given it wouldn't be covered any longer), and rims". Can I just get a confirmation if I should stay away from this without tune?

2015 final edition (just incase but seems obvious for this thread)

thanks guys I'm so glad somebody else had the similar questions lol

Shouldn't effect the car, or the warranty. If you really want to be sure though talk to your local Mitsubishi dealer.
