New to the site guys! So I owned a 2012 lancer gt and put k sport coilovers on it! Today I bought a 2012 evo GSR and I'm curious if my k sports from my lancer will fit my evo! I work in the shop at the dealer I bought the evo from so I guess I'll find out tomorrow(either way the k-sports are coming off) Thank you!

 

Congrats on the new Evo! Long story short, I think selling your K Sports, and either going with springs or dedicated Evo X Coilovers is the best option. Don't want to sacrifice your razor sharp handling. Just my $.02. But as far as the technical aspect of will they mount, I'm not sure.

 

The suspension setup I believe is similar to the Lancer, BUT the coils will never ever perform anywhere how they should, because the Evo weighs differently and has entirely different spring rates than a Lancer setup would have.


Suggest selling the old setup and put it towards a new one.

 

I also don't think the lancer specific setup will mount on the evo. The LCA and suspension is not the same between vehicles.

I'm going to offer different advice from those before me, I think you should sell the lancer coils and buy evo specific ones.
