Need Help upgrading my Evo

Hi guys, I'm new to the car scene but have a little bit of knowledge now compared to when i got my evo 4/5 months ago. Anyways my question is what should i do to my evo? Its fully stock and I'm looking to make it faster of course and also making it sound nicer. Im not looking to have the fastest car in my area but i am looking to add horsepower&torque and improve the noise quality of the exhaust. I know of a couple brands but id like help in choosing the one to buy and if you don't mind a quick explanation on why i should go w/ your suggested brand over others. Sorry if this is a "newbie" question but id really appreciate if anyone could help out. thanks!!!!

I like searching the forum. I'm new to, and most questions get answered a few times over. This thread has come up a few times very recently. Good luck.

Hey happy to help guide you into the EVO, send me an email and we can discuss more. There are actually a few easy and LOW cost ways to get more from your EVO with a few basic parts and ECU tuning.

Best way to figure this out of go through the build threads and read the stories and costs, failures and success stories. And whatever you do, ONLY GET TUNED BY SOMEONE VERY WELL RECOMMENDED ON THE FORUM

Figure out who you want to tune the car for you and then discus a mod list with him. I have found that works the best with both my EVO's.

Theres plenty of threads on great power mods and the choices you have. But one thing I'll let you know for sure is that if you're going to do something, do it right the first time. Don't cheap out because you'll only end up spending more down the line to fix it or make it work.

For topics sake: Intake, exhaust, intercooler, 3-port, tune. Those alone will give a decent power jump. You're fairly new to the scene, so take a look at the How-To section of the forum to get familiarized with how to do different things.

I'm new too and I don't know what to do... wait a sec...

hmmm...

maybe I should get familiarized with the handling and stock power before I even think about adding more... search and read different build threads. After all of that I can determine what I want to do to my car...

For someone (including myself) that doesn't know what to get (the basics) before the tune.. I believe all you need is intake. Exhaust, upper intercooler pipe and the 3 port (idk what the 3 port is or does.. explain?) And then get the tune. I have read on here a lot of people wishing they bought a 3 port before they got a tune and regretted that they didn't badly.

I hope that's a joke...the best route to go is
Remove exhaust from turbo back
2000cc injectors
Meth
E110 race fuel plus octane booster
Pringles can cold air intake

Then track it for like a year to get the hang of it.
Then get a tune.

Ok in case you are slow that was a joke. Don't do anything without also getting a tune.

You basically want to let the car breathe better. Intake, exhaust, UICP all will allow the car to flow more air when tuned correctly. The 3-port gives better boost control over the factory 2 port, so your tuner can squeeze more power out of it.

You can check out the Evo X section on our website

We offer quite a few products for the Evo X. There are videos as well of exhausts.

I would start with a catback, EBCS, intake, UICP and a tune to start with. You can do the catback without a tune and be okay if you just want a little more noise and slight increase in performance.
