That does look really nice, great job! I wish I was more mechanically inclined, and trusted myself to just start ripping apart my interior, but I can almost guarantee I'd destroy something lol..

I will say I'm just naturally mechanically inclined, but most of these projects I get into thinking "oh boy, how the hell am I going to manage this" and I come out with a nice product, more knowledge of the car, and a little more confidence that I can handle these things. You just need some patience, some time, and to have done a little research before starting. You really can't mess up too much, with the exception of all of those damn plastic snap tabs they have everywhere...

It's those tabs that I'm most concerned with. I'm usually good at figuring things out, and would love to learn, but I haven't really found any great guides as to where all of those damn tabs and things are in the car, and I don't want to break anything.

Every time I try to do simple things, my lack of knowledge seems to break things (like when I tried to replace the headlight bulb in my wife's car.. I broke a tab that I didn't know existed, and the plug can just fall right off now), so I'm a bit hesitant these days (especially on my own cars lol)..

I completely understand. I never forget any damage I cause to my own cars, it just eats away at me.

FWIW, I took plenty of pictures of all the tabs involved with this install if you ever need them.

Also, you can usually learn tab locations by looking at salvage parts on eBay or similar sites.

Awesome, thanks! I'll let you know if I ever decide to rip my car apart and could use some pictures to help.

That's a good tip with the salvage parts.. I didn't think of that. I typically try to figure it out on my own, get to the point where I'm pulling on things much harder than I would have expected, and just completely bail on the project out of fear that I'm about to break something lol. At least knowing where the tabs are in advance would definitely help!

Even knowing where the tabs are, you'll still cringe when they pop out.
