Need help if a Evo 10 is for me?

Ok guys I understand with us evo owners asking this seems crazy but heres my situation.

Cars currently owned just for me not counting wifes dd

Evo8 2003 2.3 fp black 272 cams and every bolt on coil overs the whole package

RSX type s coilovers and full bolt ons no tune

2000 c5 corvette completely stock

I need to limit myself to 2 cars. The problem being we just had our second kid. So I need a car with a 4 door. Was thinking of selling both the RSX and the C5 and getting a evo 10.

I guess my questions has anyone done this? Is it redundant to have 2 evos? Would it be boring?

I have drivin the evo 10s I think they are good cars though when I was first buying my evo 8 it was WAaaaaay out of my price range. Also as far as performance it didnt seem much better then evo8-9. Now not bragging but making almost 3 times as much as I used to.

Honestly was leaning towards a GTR but while i could almost afford the payments. The back seats are crap and I cant even put my 2 year old in there forward facing and have leg room =(.

So would like your guys thoughts. Evo 8 has 92k and fully built on e85 almost 600 hp with supporting mods is hell to drive in rush hour. Also I know it sounds dumb but I dont like putting a ton of miles on it either. I would honestly feel more comfortable putting them on a evo 10 for as little sense as that makes.

Sounds like a good fit. Reliable, fun enough stock, plenty of room for kids. You'd have the VIII for weekend fun, and the X for daily commuting. Best of both worlds!

I have two Evo's, a 450whp Evo IX time attack car and a 360whp (soon to be 500whp) daily driven Evo X. Having two Evo's is awesome. I do all my own work, maintainence, installs and both cars have been very reliable.

not redundant if you leave the X comfortable enough to drive daily. I get asked this now too by friends since i have two AWD turbo cars, but yeah one is track/show/fun dedicated and one is my DD so I just am trying to walk the line with mods there.

Soon your Evo X will be heavily modded like your Evo 8 and you'll be in the same situation. Lol, because who keeps an Evo stock?

How do you like the X as a DD? I'm toying with the idea of selling mine. What really pisses me off about my 9 is how notchy the transmission is, which I don't know if I'd see any improvement with the X.

I believe the X is a much better daily driver. The X's tranny is notchy, but not as notchy as the IX's.

Well i didnt think to run into as many people that own both.

Couple concerns and more of a life help then cars because its a value question

Is a high mile evo 10 worth it or should I stick to a low mile and may more.

I know on alot of the 8-9s they are fine on stock motor for an easy 250-300 with proper upkeep is evo 10 same way?

My wife likes the MS3 but i got my first evo from a srt4 and hate t steer.

also my plans would be to get the evo10 to 400whp and call it a day. 400 was where i intended on keeping my evo8...... then 2 cylinders got laid off didnt look for work.

so we say go for the evo10? ive never drivin one for a month but its a lot better then evo 8-9 stock for dd?

my commute is about 40 miles a day which is a bit and dont know if it would be worth it to get a low mile only to destroy its value by putting a lot of miles on it or get one with alot thats already less and drive the value in the ground?

Selling the RSX and Vette would be a good idea( too many toys for the family man), but I think the car you buy after should be luxury class. This way you have your all out track beast, but also your respectable and classy daily driver. It sounds like you've climbed the rankings and put in the work so why not?

Having an Evo X as a daily would be nice though and I have thought about doing that before. Just make sure the farthest you go with that is an exhaust, intake, and tune.

Mine does working very well. This Evo X doesn't feel fun as Evo 9 that i had, but it is very good for daily and carry my family around. I picked Non SS package to little bit more space in trunk.
Not much room space compare to normal sedans imo but still it works.

Thanks

I don't want a luxury car. I have seen a few I thought I would like not brand new but 2010 above sport cars of them. AMG and M3 and they are fun but heavy and we already have a Camry and perhaps a van for comfort.

Not to quote the joker from dark knight but I am a man of simple taste. My peers from work really wanted to steer me in luxury cars. To share of what's out in the parking lot 911s, db9, that testla AWD super car, GTRs, etc. But the payment on those things are insane. And while I can afford those payments now and don't fear losing my job what so ever. I still don't wanna leave out or frankly even near my means.

Get a Tahoe or F150. You already have an evo. Ever considered comfort and extra space?

I like my Evo X, but it wasn't much different than my friends 8. Also you might miss the recaros if you go for a 15 which is really the only part of my X that disappointed me.

Another vote for trading both the Integra and C5 for a X!
