clutch question

clutch question

quick question..i am getting ready to change my clutch..can i just replace the disc and or do i need new pressure plate as well??? thanks.. my car is stock and i will keep it like that for now, my DD, what is good clutch? thanks,, and yes i did my reading just want straight up feed back..thanks guys

Can you? Sure. But I would without a doubt replace it as well, it'll all be apart anyway. Plus its considered a wear item, those teeth can break over time. And most clutch kits come with the pressure plate anyway.

Change them both. As for clutches, and which is good, you have a number of choices. I suggest, since you are changing the clutch, that you spend the money and get something a little better than you might think you need. The difference in cost won't be that much and the benefit to you, or a new owner, if you decide to mod the car, will be significant.

So, a triple or twin disc is the best, but most expensive. Competition Clutch is my favorite but everyone will have a different opinion. ACT, etc... just do some research.

I second Competition Clutch. I've had the Stage 3 2600 series for 10,000 miles and its great. Grabby and not too much heavier than stock.

thanks guys, I think I will go with Competition 2 and maybe new flywheel if needed. I DD that car so I don't need anything crazy, thanks again
