You'll have less restriction to air flow, less cost, and less weight.

Generally less bends and straighter flow will benefit a turbo car, i am personally a fan of the "dual" look ,but the single is just better suited to a turbo engine especially a straighter flowing design

I read that about single but then I seen that twin helps with greater flow getting more exhaust out, but thanks for explaining in better detail

I mean if you look at 90% of the dual exhausts for a evo they are "single" till they create the y to allow the dual tips whether it be a single inlet muffler with dual outs, or a y pipe to 2 canisters etc.
... if i were going for power id definetly choose a single exit. I love symmetry, but will love better performance more haha. And trust me i have modded some turbo 4's

More metal (dual), more resistance. I went with dual though because I like the look.

What?? More mufflers = lower back pressure = better performance. By your logic all performance cars would have a single exit exhaust.

If you have double the exit area (two mufflers), the exhaust has to travel half as fast and as a result, there is less back pressure which (hopefully) provides better performance. Of course, as others have mentioned, the weight of the second muffler might negate any performance benefits.

when I had a dual I noticed that the right side had more flow out of it compared to the left side. I just went to single exit.

The evo generally just looks more symmetrical and pretty with a dual exit, which is why it was dual from the factory. Every exhaust sounds and looks different, so just pick one you want to hear and look at everyday. Don't try to squeeze out that extra 1 hp, it isn't worth it.

I know a lot of people go single for the weight reduction, but I personally prefer the dual as far as the look is concerned.

I think I've seen some pictures of people with a different bumper that only had one exhaust cutout, which looked good, but I think switching to a single exhaust with the stock bumper/diffuser looks a little "off" personally.

Dual for looks

More mufflers= less back pressure? That's amazing. I guess I should order a few more then.

How many mufflers are you up to on your system?

lol seriously. I guess all the race/drag cars run straight pipes because they want more back pressure. where do people get this ****?

Not sure what you're running, but I've got about 8 different restriction points to increase back pressure to the max!
