wheel assembly question

ok well I'm trying to pull the motor out of an evo x and all that's left is axles and tcase and I can pull motor out but one of the wheels has 2 lug nuts that are seized and will not come off...it's those lug nuts that use a special key and has like some indentations on the lug nut...keep breaking keys...my question is can I somehow take wheel off with hub assembly and everything, grind the stud out of the car and hammer it out or do I have to figure a way to get the nuts off? any ideas?

I suppose you could pull the half shaft/ axle assembly, but I'm not sure that will help you. You'll still have the wheel stuck on the hub. Why nut just grind the nut off? replace the studs while you are at it, to longer track studs.

cant grind it off because car has nice wheels and dont want to mess anything up...i got it done...removed bolts that hold shock/strut etc, brake line and sensor bolt, and pulled wheel forward towards me...removed axle and went to town...
