Help!!! I ruined my dashboard!!
Hey guys, so I peeled my windshield tint off and was dealing with the grueling task of removing the glue. I tried goo gone and a bunch of other stuff that didnt work at all then I saw someone suggest using carburetor cleaner and a razor, so thats what I did. Besides needing a couple stitches afterward the job wasnt so bad. I had put some towels down on the dash to prevent all the gunk from getting everywhere and when i removed the towels I noticed some glue had got on the dash, so i used a little carb cleaner on a rag and wiped it off, no biggie right? WRONG. When it dried it looked like this...

I tried hitting it with some armor all but it just keeps drying and looking the same way, any ideas before I spend like $300 replacing dash panels?

Seriously dude? Who told you to do that lol. You may now need a new dash. I have no solution. On the other hand, why did you peel the tint off? Was it because it was to dark to see at night?
First of all, all you need to remove window tint is rubbing alcohol on a terry cloth and a blow dryer/heat gun. There was no need to spray the window directly with carb cleaner ( not saying that you did, doesn't matter now).
Looks like you dried out the dash with the carb cleaner. I would first go over the effected area with a wet towel. Then use some dash conditioner to see if you can at least hide the damage that is already done. Something like this should be reversible. Armor all tends to evaporate too quickly to hide anything.
I always push Black Magic products for interior/dash protector.
Good luck!

he is right , its a good excuse for that. But also I know some people actually painting they dash. It is a way cheaper solution then getting a new dash.
Some paint job looks really nice. One guy did painted matte black his dash in the STI. Looked really sharp. I just don't have a picture. You can do the whole dash matte black and the Front windshield pillars. That i think would look amazing
