I have another problem, maybe someone can pitch in on this one??

I don't have a self ref problem... i have a "Rev Hang" problem.. I mean, i used to rev my engine while pulling into a show to 4,000RPMS and it would sound great with my exhaust and then it would drop normally... NOW with the EVO X i Rev at about 4000RPMs and it sits their like a dumbass and hangs even if i don't have my foot on the gas. It will hang for about 3 secs and SLOWLY go down... it makes the entire Rev sound like crap.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Yea the rev hang is an emissions thing, there is a few threads on it already I think there is a way to change it with a tune

Same issue here. Tuned with bolt ons. Was told it's a MIVEC thing by my tuner. Nothing else wrong with the car and all connections are tight. Wouldn't worry about it.

Intake/exhaust value timing for emissions. A little annoying, but keeps the EPA off Mitsubishi's back! They're busy with Volkswagen anyway..
