Hey guys, lurking for about a month or 2 here, just wanted to introduce.
Picked up a brand new 2015 Final Edition in White, unfortunately I didn't take many pics at the lot, but buying this thing was a pain in the ***, eventually got a great deal on it. I come from a 370z, twin turbo, was putting down 632/550 to the wheels on e85.
I have 2 boys and as they started preschool, I realized that the Nissan just wasn't cutting it. The car was already maxed out as it really is not made to hold power (traction?), so I figured an AWD sedan would fix both issues. It was an easy choice, I picked up this EVO and have been enjoying every second.
Since then I have only really touched a few things, namely a Tomei Ti Exhaust(cat back only), JDP front lip, rexpeed vortex generators, depo side-markers, blacked out the headlights, window tint and have some Advan GTs in 18x10 +22 with 275/35/18 PSS going on next week. So far I am loving this car, it needs seats(wheres my recaros?!?) and shifter love.
Future plans include some 5150 magic goin in with an EFR turbo upgrade and e85 to make some serious power. Looking at this fall/winter to knock all the bolt ons, tune and fueling done by them. Plan on going stock block for as long as I can figure, when it lets go, proabable goals in the 700-800whp range on a stout built block.
Here are some current pics, wheels/tires come in Monday!
Anyhow, it has been a pleasure so far, I plan to log upgrades as they come, maybe a few vids, trying to get back into it.
Right on! I picked up a FE DWP myself. My plans right now are to get the Aero / Exterior kit minus side skirts. Ralliart drop-in, Ralliart Axleback, Test Pipe, 3-port, UICP, brakes (already have it) and tune. Eventually will go with aftermarket Recaro seats or MR Recaros, whichever pops up first.
You won't be disappointed with this platform. There are some rattles to chase down (glove box, seat belt mechanism, center console), but other than that loving it.
Thanks fellas, yeah while in stock form it has less power than the z, it still puts it down quite a bit better. Loving this car, so tempted to just empty the coffers and get the power mods going, but the wife would kill me. Got some other goodies going on as well, gonna be a fun next 2 weeks!
The headlights look amazing. Did you do them yourself?
Yep, did them myself, kind of a pain, but just did a simple blacking out with some krylon fusion. Open, disassemble, clean(no sanding), paint, dry, assemble all took about 3 hours total. with 2.5 hours being painting and drying.
I didn't add leds, halos or demon eye effects, I think it is too busy on such a small headlight housing and demon eyes are a pretty easy way to get cited in northern California.
