ETS intake filter cleaning / replacement / oiling?

Hey guys,

I had a injen intake system for my Evo 8 and I bought the cleaning kit for the filter including the oil.

Now I have a Evo x and I have the ETS intake system and my filter is pretty dirty. My questions are..

Can I use the same injen cleaning kit and oil for the filter on the ets intake for the Evo x?

Is this filter supposed to even be oiled?

Can someone direct me with a link to the exact replacement filter please?

My plan was to wash the filter with a garden hose inside outwards then let it dry then spray the oil and let it dry.

Thanks

Well the filter they use is just a standard K&N filter, I'm pretty sure they are an oiled filter. But you might want to just google cleaning a K&N filter.

Yes, you can use the cleaning kit. Same cleaning method you described. Yes, oiled. If you're still having doubts just contact ETS and they'll get you the right filter.

Just don't use too much oil, it'll get on the MAF and screw with the readings.

You can clean it with the K&N Cleaning Kit.

I recommend cleaning it once a year.

Just did my filter a few weeks ago

That is a beautifully clean engine bay, what do you use to clean it?

Thanks for confirming. I will use the cleaning kit for the injen filters and clean this K&N Filter.
