New 2015 Evo X

Hello everyone,

I will be going in this weekend to maybe getting a brand new 2015 WW Evo x. So we all know that the 2015 did not come with the recaro seats. The question is this dealer has about 2 2014 evo with the Recaro sitting in their lot so do you guys think that they be willing to swap out seats if I negotiate this with them? Has anyone gotten a deal on anything while getting their Evo?

Thanks

No matter what you negotiate they won't swap the seats for you, it would ruin the re-sale value of their 2014 cars. And there was a reason Mitsu removed the recaros from the 2015, so the dealer can't legally put them into the 2015 for you.

If the lancer seats in the 2015 bother you that much, just buy one of their 2014 models instead. They're the exact same car, just slightly used vs new.

I just thought it was worth a shot but Yea it make sense. the price between the new and use wasn't significant enough to justify buying the used one over the new one. I just find it funny how evo x stop having the recaro and now the new 370z nismo has them.

Mitsu claimed that a law regarding the side-impact airbags changed and the evo's recaros didn't meet the requirements. So rather than re-certifying the seats they just decided to put lancer seats in them. Any 2015 or FE evo outside the US will have recaros in them.

I got some decent heated leather seats from a 2011 for my 2015, it's well worth the price to have them in the car. It's an entirely different driving experience. Even if they don't look pretty you can always have them re-covered eventually, which is what I will do to mine in a year or two so I can have nice soft leather.

The 370 has them cause Nissan keeps updating the 370. Mitsubishi never really updated the evo since it came out
