I got some 20mm H&R spacers when I installed my swift spec r springs. I bought them because they had great reviews. Other brands seemed to vibrate...

They've been great. Just check them every once in a while.

I wouldn't even bother on stock suspension. It would probably just exaggerate the horrible ride height.

Previous owner threw on a set of those cheap generic slip on spacers. I drove around like that for a couple weeks before I purchased new wheels. I had no issues. I'm in no way recommending those. But yes, it's ok to run spacers. Like posted above, just get a good quality set.

I put on a set of squirrelly 15mm spacers with no issues. they are hubcentric and half the price.

Ichiba V2 spacers are great, bolt on, and are hub centric. I've been running a 25mm set for 2 years now with no issues.

Sorry to bring this back to life. But, I am also considering picking up the squirley 15mm spacer for my X. Did you have any issues mounting wheels considering the bolt to mount the spacer stuck out past the width of the spacer??
