Quickjack?

http://www.quickjack.com/

Stumbled on this today and was wondering if anyone has experience with one? Call me a ***** but I hate the idea of having my car on stands with me underneath.

I'm due for lots of fluid changes and considering purchasing one of these systems. Am I stupid?

Thanks!

I looked to something like this as well, just not sure how sturdy they are. I was looking at Rotary brand. www.rotarylift.com/LIFTS/VLXS10/

What's wrong with stands? If you place them in the wrong spot, sure car might fall. But thats the case with any type of stand or lift if not used properly. I'd trust a stand over that any day.

I've been thinking about this for a while, pretty interested. price isn't horrible, you can take it with you when you move, and it's electricity operated. I wonder how much the draw is though. the other thing - do you just drive over then when it sits in the garage?

oh I see - you roll them out of the way

My buddy bought this system about 6 months ago.

It's a wonderful product.

Here some reading if you want further information:

And starting post #34 here: https://www.boostedforums.net/showth...ight=quickjack

I have varis side skirts with the running boards and due to the limited size/space in the cutouts in the running boards to jack the car, we were never able to line my car up with the quickjack. Now, we didn't try very hard and I'm sure it would be pretty easy to make it work with some effort. Also I think the newer version of the system has more adjustability in the jack points.

Overall it's impressive and works real well. Takes only a few seconds to setup after the initial setup, and picks the car up WAY higher than any floor jack I've ever seen. It's sturdy and solidly built and I wouldn't hesitate to work under the car while on it.

Only experience I had with one was with a hooker in Acapulco back in my 20s...but in my defense, I was short on cash and couldn't afford the non-quick version.
