EvoX Tow Hook Question

Hey all,

The accessory serpentine belt on my X broke last night, and resulted in a tow. The tow truck driver asked about a tow hook for the car, something it does not come with. And after that situation last night made me think I need one now, not to always be attached but to keep in the glove box. So my question is, all the tow hooks out there that screw into the holes on the bumpers, will they work for both the front and the rear?

Sorry if this has already been asked.

Once I got the front tires on the flat bed he used a spot behind the drivers side front tire, and then was able to pull it up on the bed.

So basically get two of the small plates and have it welded behind the small panel on each bumper and then when needing a tow just screw in the hook?

Or leave it on. Your choice. Most do.

Or get the JDM front crash beam, then run whichever tow hook in the front. The JDM crasah beam has the threads welded in and line up perfectly with the bumper.

Or there are a plethora of options for adding a tow hook to the rear.

You need to get a few other pieces with it, namely it uses different intercooler air guides for the front crash bar. But besides that it's a fast simple replacement to get a front tow hook and you shave like 10lbs off the front of the car!

Did a track day at Snetterton in England. During the brief they asked everyone to attach their tow hooks before going out. Needless to say, my 2010 EVO X has no option for a front tow hook. The rear has a hook under the bumper. Had to ask track safety if I could still run without tow hook. His said it wouldn't be an issue if I don't crash, Lol!

I will be looking at getting one installed soon. Thanks for posting some links.
