Intercooler pipes tune???

Hello everyone. Sorry if this is located in the wrong area I just felt it would be wrong to put in under one of the tuning areas because its so broad of a question. It's also kind of noobish.
I recently got an ETS intake for my car. I have an accessport and recently added the intake onto the map I usually run. Is this enough to tide me over until I can afford a protune? I assume Cobb doesn't make the tune too aggressive due to numerous factors so I should be ok right?
Also is there any need to get a pro tune for new intercooler and or piping? I was on YouTube and saw a video and in the comment section he said you need a tune for intercooling pipes? I was under the impression that the only modification you must absolutely get a tune for or risk damage to your car is an air intake because of the large amounts of air over stock airbox coming in could mess up the engine. It was to my understanding that the purpose of intercooler pipes is to not expand under pressure like the stock silicone piping does, so I assumed it would be ok to install the pipes. Was I wrong for installing them?

No need to tune for intercooler pipes, not at all.

Intercooler, it's worth it to tune for eventually but you shouldn't cause any harm if you wait for your pro tune.

The ETS intake uses the stock MAF housing so technically you don't even need a tune to run it. The modification you really need to tune for is a test pipe, the stock catalytic converter is very restrictive.

What he said. No tune really needed for IC piping or IC itself. The Intake is another story everyone says you should get one. Though I'm a little confused some say if it's using the stock MAF you really don't need one, but I was under the impression it does no matter?

The general rule is that you don't "need" a tune for an intake re-using the stock MAF housing.
Once you get into the intakes with the 3"+ MAF, then the ECU cannot properly compensate on its own and you need a tune to prevent damage.
