What do you think about excess 2015 inventory

Hi All,

First post here. I've always wanted an Evo and am debating about getting an FE. I noticed that there are still a lot of inventory out there (especially in So Cal) and was wondering what you guys think is going to happen to all that unsold inventory. They are 2015 models and we are approaching 2017. Is anyone predicting a drastic cut in pricing or are these dealers going to sit on this new inventory till they eventually sell, even if it is years down the road, lol.

Dealerships will negotiate, but you may have to get outside of CA to find better deals.

thats a lie, because i recently in may got my evo FE from puente hills mitsubishi and i negotiated with them and got a very aggressive great deal, keep in miond some people want to sell a car and others want top stick the dick to consumers. they were very pleasent to work with and had no issues i got what i wanted. but just dont think just because your the consumer you have the *****, becuase immediatly once you become a ******* , believe me i wouldnt want to work with you either.

It's a real niche market and frankly, even if they discount it $5k from msrp, they will still have some on their lot. So I'm wondering if they will eventually just clear them out with even more aggressive discounting or would you expect that they'll just sit on the cars.

At this point I would anticipate aggressive discounts. These cars are not appreciating, meaning they're depreciating like every other car. So they might as well get them off their lot. Thats my understanding anyway.

I got my FE out of state back in late June.... msrp was 40+ but I negotiated it down to 35k and split the cost w/ the dealer to ship it to me from TX to FL. Zero dealer fees as well. Plus no dealer near me could come close to what the TX dealer (Don Herring in Plano) was able to do plus I was searching for either Gray or Blue and I wanted the Exterior Pkg... therefore choices were slim. I did all of this remotely... sent my certified check and within 5 days I received my car exactly as expected with zero damage. Definitely happy with how it turned out.

I got my FE this past February for 10% off of MSRP. At that time some dealers were trying to sell these cars for 2k-5k over MSRP (LOL).

They will continue to sit and dealers will do their best to unload them. You will still see brand new 2015 models for sale in 2017.

I wonder how much it costs Mitsubishi to produce each evo X.

Numbers are dwindling. Sam Smash posted on Facebook the other day that the South Coast stores only have about 20-25 left.

Looks like Mitsubishi is trying a bit harder at clearing out their Evos. They are offering 0% 60 month financing. I haven't seen that before as it seems to have always been 36 months 0%.

Seems like there are still 214 new FEs scattered across the country as of today. At this point, I would want more than $5k off. The market is very limited for people that are willing to buy this car.
