More Power!!

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking forward to adding more power to my 2015 Evo X this coming up spring. The mods that'll I'll be adding to the car are listed below. The question is, how much HP (estimation) would I be able to gain from the following mod? My goal power is at least 360 WHP. Would this be a reliable daily driver? All opinion are much appreciated.

Thanks

Car is sitting at about 8,000 miles

Mod List:

- Ultimate Racing Dual Catback Exhaust with mini muffler
- 3 port accessport
- HKS BV
- AEM Cold Air intake
- AMS Upper intercooler pipe
- Boost Guage
- UR HFC or resonated Test pipe

I'd avoid the HKS BV. They don't scale well. (This is coming from a big HKS fan)

You have both a boost controller and a 3 port listed. 3 port is an electronic boost controller. (assuming that's what you meant by 3 port accessport)

You won't hit 360whp (dynojet) with those mods imo. Unless the tuner does something super aggressive tuning wise, you'll most likely be around 340whp area.

definitely go with the test pipe if you aren't in CA, test pipes make a huge difference on these cars.

yea I meant to say boost gauge and the Grimmspeed 3 port. 340whp isn't bad either and yea maybe I might just stick to stock bov as of now than.

You should include air fuel ratio gauge in your list

Like Migs647 said, ditch the BOV.

If E85 is accessible in your area, go for it. You'll for sure hit your HP goal and maybe a little more. All you'll need to do is upgrade your pump, injectors, tune and of course E85

Yea there's a place 3mins away from me with e85. Would the car still be reliable though?

Absolutely. As someone mentioned before, you're gonna need pump, injectors, flex fuel converter, tune and I'd get an inline fuel filter kit as well. The extra upgrades will definitely be worth it to run E85. If I had a place 3 min away I would have done the conversion like yesterday.

E85 is amazing, it adds more power and also, with the proper tune, safety as well. Since it has higher knock resistance and also cooling properties it is really a godsend for turbo cars.

Very much so. I've been running nothing but E85 for the past 2 years.

So than do you guys agree that I should forget the mods I listed and just do a E85 Conversion with a tune? And than have the MODs I listed added on later down the road?

Wouldn't Gas mileage go down since E85 tend to burn quicker?

I vote E85 for sure. Also, add a wideband.
