Just add the E85 set up to your mod list.

Yes.

These cars are horrible anyways when it comes to that.

Smiles per gallon is how I see it

[QUOTE=evostanman;11690743]Just add the E85 set up to your mod list.

I'm trying to determine what I should do for the time being. Either buy all of the parts that I initially stated or go with just the e85 conversion for the time being as it would cost too much to do all of it at once. If you were given these two routes, which one would you go with considering that you want to go with the route that will give you the most gains.

If you are going to do it in two steps it won't make much of a difference, with the mods you are thinking about going E85 I would think would add more gains. Razorlab has a thread about basic bolt ons vs e85, so check that out.

What is then an ideal BOV for bolt-on Evos? Just the Tial?

+1 on the E85. 105 Octane = More boost and less knock. Plus it burns colder. More Power = More Smiles as stated above. I also think of the gas mileage thing like this. If i put E85 in one of my cars.. I know im going to be on it all the time. If i put 91.. Meh i might be a little more conservative on the pedal. Probably not but with all potential in the E85 might as well use it!

Honestly if money is an issue I would just save until I have enough to cover everything because If you do it in 2 steps you're going to be spending more at the end.

Remember that adding parts to your car like 3-port will require a tune. Tune + parts = $

if you stock pile parts and save money you can knock everything out in 1 step.

If you decide to go with the least expensive side first, you're still going to need a tune. Then after you go with the expensive mod, it'll require a re-tune

Words of wisdom right there.
Stockpiling parts will save money in the long run as well as save you on trips and downtime. Do it once and do it right.
Also, plan for the long term. If you ultimately want a complete big turbo kit, don't buy a bunch of bolt ons now only to be dissatisfied and have to replace everything later.
Identify your goals, do your homework, take your time and do thing right.
