Billet block and head
Nay sayers
this is my project and I build it the way I want to.
and you build your project your way..good luck
So far it has lasted just fine. When they have failures, its not the block, even if the block does get ruined by said failure. It's not like the GTR where they went to a billet block because they were blowing out the stock block around cylinder 5.
I'm just trying to understand why you threw probably $20k at an unnecessary billet block and head when that money can go to other parts of the car. Or another car? Hookers? Idk...lol
May as well be first with a billet block and head
To offer backing to Letsgetthisdone (who is correct), We dont have block issues, we dont have head issues. The issues the car has at 1200whp are things that this wont change. We are changing the things that cause the problems; however, to cure said problems. Its overkill for 700whp but hey if you have the money have fun with it
My motto anyway.

I like this build and the idea of attacking weight as a means to get faster rather then focusing directly on performance. The "kosenigsegg One" has targeted 1400hp and 1,400 kilograms of weight (3,086 pounds) for a supercar that will be at the top of there market...
I think a 2500lb Evo x with 1000hp is comparable performance wise. My 2 cents... Nice build and good luck!

Rre
Hello Dross99, I went with RRE because I want to build the best handling vehicle (2 keep up with exotics ) I'm NOT interested in a drag car. RRE is the best choice . thank you , Victor Nishimoto
I understand the benefits of a billed block over an oem block, but the cost/benefit analysis just does not make any sense to me. If you can do 700hp on an oem block why bother? Not trying to bash the decision, just trying to see your point of view.
thanks
I can see the advantage myself. I'm guessing it will definitely bring the car closer to a 50/50 weight distribution. GL with the build sir. I'm wondering if this setup brings up issues with the exhaust MIVEC?
