Water temp not staying constant on cooler days

Hi all,
I notice this with my car, not sure if it is normal.

I live in a tropical city, when the ambient temperature on my dash is >30°C, my water and oil temp stays very constant at 82°C

However, the moment ambient temp drops below 30°C, my water temp will vary between 80-95°C, this directly cause my oil temp to go up to 90°C sometimes.

I think it is just a tune setting to turn on the fan at certain temperatures, but is there a cause for concern for the water temp fluctuating so much?

Probably normal.
Have to consider things like, ambient temp, thermostat open or closed, fan on or off, fan speed low or high. If your not over heating i think your ok.

Although you can replace the temp sensors to a lower operating temp to make the fans turn on sooner. I believe my buddy got his from map.

You can also adjust when the temps at which the fans kick on in ECUflash

When it's warmer out, you're temps are constnt because the thermostats likely stay open constantly. In cooler temps the thermostats will cycle, if the thermostat is sticking a bit, it can produce temperature spikes like that. For water, 82*C is actually a bit cool, 90-95*C is more normal. Maybe try putting a tsat in it? They're cheap enough.

Guys thanks for the replies.

The defi sensors were installed by the previous owner many years ago. I heard that the placement of the sensors will cause them to have different readings. So I am not sure if my water temp is 82°C or in fact higher. Is that possible?

I too feel that 82°C is too low, my integra type r runs at 95°C. I have been driving the car for 6 mths now and the temp has been at 82°C on hot days

If the water temp sensor is after the tstat, it can be off, or have weird fluctuations. It should be before the tstat.

Oil temp should be in the oil pan.
