I have $1500 to spend and would like recommendations on how to get my 2015 Evo X as much HP as possible or as fast as possible.

$1500 on parts only or for everything including tune and labor?

Best bang for you buck will be:

Test Pipe
Intake
Tune
EBC
if you can spend more
maybe exhaust
UICP as well

One adjustment, drop in filter. But otherwise that list is pretty on par assuming you are looking for off the line performance and not track performance. Track id go with a new rear sway bar and some good rubber.

Don't forget free modifications like removing crap you don't need from the car, lightweight battery (not free lol), etc.

Other cheap modification, if you are running it hard and hot get some high temp exhaust paint on your exhaust manifold (more thermal energy to the turbine, less heat in the bay, minute, as you have a heat shield but it's 20bucks) I'd do the downpipe and the rest of the exhaust just to keep it from corroding over time at the same time.

Change your oil, your transmission fluid, your spark plugs. It's stupid simple things like this that can have a big difference on performance.

You live in Maryland. My first mod would be moving the AYC to the trunk then putting a drop in filter for now so you don't nuke your warranty. Add a catback if you want some noise and enjoy for a while before you flush said warranty.

Hold off on engine mods and keep your warranty intact.

If you are itching to spend some money on the evo, get some decent coilovers. Like a this used set of KW's https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...-v3-evo-x.html

The KW's are stainless steel and will hold up well in Maryland.

DONT LISTEN to these gupies

first off you have to ask your self what goals do you have? meaning
power?
daily driven?
track?
a show car?

based on that i can give you a couple different options

Or spend that $1500 on a nice used set of the Evo X MR Recaro seats. The US FE seats are terrible.

Electronic boost controller
High flow cat or test pipe
Drop in filter like a Cosworth
Catback if so inclined or a wide mouth downpipe if you are doing the labor yourself (quite involved)

The parts cost on this will be around $1,000 depending on what you get. If you aren't doing your own labor skip the down pipe, it will cost a lot to have done at a shop.

figure $500 or so for a custom dyno tune.

But with an EBCS, drop in filter, test pipe and a custom tune you should expect something over 300hp at the wheels.

expanding the budget to $3K will basically get you full bolt ons; cold air intake, bigger intercooler, full turbo back exhaust, piping.

Use E85. These are ballpark figures to get you to high 300's low 400's

1. Injectors- FIC 1100cc $500
2. Fuel Pump- Walbro 450 $100.00
3. Test Pipe -$150.00
4. Dual Map Tune - $600.00
5. EBCS - $115.00
6. Beer and food for friends to help -$35.00

don't do any engine mods that require a tune. Stockpile parts and do a tune once you have everything to get to the power level you want, so that way you aren't spending 500-600 dollars per tune multiple times. So I'd do coilovers, then more handling and brake mods as you save up for the power parts and a tune.

Here's what I did for power mods (note all funds are in CAD):

Catback: ARK n-II (used) $750
Intake: AEM (used) $200
EBCS: Grimmspeed (new) $175
Testpipe: Sebring (used, came with catback)
Tune: Local Tuner $400

Baseline pull with those mods was 250whp SAE
Final Numbers are 359.9whp/356wtq SAE
+110whp on Pump (94)

If E85 were more available here in Canada, I'd be all over it.

Like what others have said, stock pile the parts before installing them so you only tune once. Also try to do the installs yourself. I've spent only $120 on renting a lift to install my catback then my test pipe on 2 different occasions. Intake was done in my driveway and my tuner installed my EBCS.
