ACD Pump going

4years/44k/3 winters later ACD is on its way out.

taking it to the dealer in couple of days to have it replaced.

i'm currently driving it for my work commute about 60 miles round trip. This shouldnt affect anything right?

At one point the ACD reservoir was below min and i put some ATF upto max line and now its reading above max line at idle. After driving for a few it goes ~below/around max line.

I'm currently modded and tuned. none of my mods have anything to do with the pump failure so dealer shouldnt deny it? Evo Owners that had the dealer replace this please chime in. if my dealer gives me any issues maybe i can take it to yours.

any other precautions i should take? I hate taking it to dealers, they always end up breaking or messing something else up and especially since the car is modded and tuned i dont want any other issues.

After replacement i'll be doing relocation to the trunk and seems like driven-fab relocation kit is the best one on the market. anyone have experience or recommend any other kit?

Thanks guys!

Don't worry about driving to work. You're fine. Most, if not all of us still drove (the ones that had the issue).

Now the dealership. Some will give you a hard time because of mods... some won't. All depends.

FYI the resovoir level lowers after the pump has turned on and pressurized the lines. After turning the car off the level will slowly go back up. Mine reads max after the car has been off for a while and read close to min once he car has been driven. Don't fill it up right after driving. The fluid amount won't change unless you have a leak somewhere.
