Real Price for EVO X MR transmission Replacement

what's the real average price to replace an Evo X MR transmission? Always hear $10,000 BUT everyone i meet says $5,000-$7,000

I wonder if it would be cheaper to convert it to a stickshift? Ask 5150 in your area what that would run

I think the 5-7K price is probably replacing it with a used unit.

I wouldn't doubt the 10K prices if you were to get a brand new transmission from the dealer.

Contact Kozmic motorsports for a quote on a rebuild. I think it was $6800 for a full rebuild with new torque damper, 10 plate clutch package, valve body upgrades, comes filled with fluid, and a refundable $800 core charge. Plus shipping. You can save money by going with an 8 plate clutch, but not sure it's worth it.
