I have the transfer case off. I know that the MR SST tranny is actually a bit smaller than the GSR Tranny, which gives it enough clearance to be lifted out from the top. Has anyone pulled their GSR engine out from above with the tranny still attached?

 

Wouldn't that put undue stress on everything? I'd want them apart, if it were me.

 

Not personally but it should come out. The engine bay seems to be wider then the engine/trans.
