AWC/ACD Pump Relocated to Trunk

I have a 2011 Ralliart but I figured I'd post in this section seeing as the topic is relevant to the Evo as well. I'm about to be going on my 3rd AWC pump next week (replaced by the dealer by the warranty).

Has anyone relocated their AWC pump to the trunk? I found a good kit online, however I was concerned whether there would be overheating/ventillation issues with it.

Anyone have any advice as to whether it's worth doing? I've had my car for 7 years, which means the pump is only covered for 3 more years, and it's well known it will fail again with it being located under the car.

Anyone know where the AWC/ACD pump is located in the new 2015/2016 Evos?? I've heard it's been relocated in the trunk by Mitsu but can't find out whether it's true.

Lot of people have relocated it, that's why there is a kit. No downside I'm aware of, not like you'll put a spare on an AWD car if you get a flat anyway so it's a good place for it to go (where the spare was)

Mitsubishi didn't relocate anything on the EVO they kept it the same for a while before stopping prodcution.

The fluid reserve is in the trunk, but it's not the pump is there. We get the same issue with it failing over time

Driven Fab makes a relocation kit. Your pump will fail again if you don't relocate it. It is not an if but when if you live on the rust belt.

I have mine relocated for 2 years now and no issues whatsoever.
