Might buy an FE, need opinions

Hey everyone, looking at buying a final edition but I'm curious about a few things and have some questions.

1. Look at this picture of the final edition number badge. This whole area around the shifter has a lot of little micro srtaches. This picture exaggerates the issue a bit, but needless to say, it's still there when you see it in person. I had a '13 GT and this area was very glossy and clean looking. Is there any way to repair this? I'm not necessarily buying the car for the wonderful interior, but at the same time, when spending this much money I'd like it to be pretty clean.

2. Does anyone have any experience with removing those clear bras? I think they're made by 3M. I know they work well for protecting your paint, however, this car has one and it's yellowing and does not look attractive. Is it safe to remove these without damaging the paint underneath?

Thanks!

Here's a picture of a "clean" badge area for comparison and what I would expect this car to look like. It's how my '13 looked even up to when I sold it last December. However, the car I am contemplating buying looks more scratched up and dirty.

You can clean up those things, just takes the right materials. But that shiny plastic is crazy easy to scuff, so I'd just not worry that much about it.

That also looks like liquid not scratches, like they had some dirty water. I'd guess most of that would wipe right off.

For plastic you need something that has fine grit to polish it out. I have idea whether it is safe so be careful, but something like polish for clouded headlights or watchface polish to buff out scratches in plastic crystals.

That looks like some dried liquid. Maybe someone did a sh*t job of wiping it down. Or the PO was messy.

Yes you can remove them safely. There might be some glue residue left behind. Use shop towels and a glue cleaning product to remove the residue. If you want to get a new one put on I would just let the shop remove it. They have to the tools and you could probably get it removed for free if you are putting a new one on.

Thanks everyone. I ended up passing on this FE. Dealer and I couldn't come to agreeable terms. Found a '15 GSR with SSL and aero package that I'm buying instead. Appreciate all of your help!
