Just did this this weekend at 20k Miles, Just watch out for the TCase and Diff. Fluid tends to spill out even though it is not full. I just a finger to block off the fluid until i knew i was close to the amount that is required. Let it settle for a little then retry helps aswell

dang, does it really? I had no idea driving on salty roads was considered rough conditions. I still don't get how this affects the transmission fluid...

Mitsu lumps a lot of stuff in there so it's hard to know which service is due to which driving condition. They list:

- driving on dusty, muddy or salt covered roads
- towing or police/taxi/commercial operation
- extensive idling
- repeated short trips in cold temps, not allowing the engine to warm up
- more than 50% operation in city traffive in temps above 90F

When I hit the 30K service interval, my mech did the package with Redline trans fluids. The shifts felt MAGNIFICENTLY better! At the 45K service, I used OEM Mitsubishi manual trans fluid. The notchiness came right back. So at my 60K service, I’m gonna use REDLINE.
