I had an oil leak but noticed there was also oil on my trunk is this a result of the oil leak or is it unrelated an another issue?

Where on the trunk? The top or the back? And what was leaking?

 

I dont have any pictures but the leak was from the drain plug, being over tighten cracked the rubber seal .. I also had to much oil in the engine aswell!
I can post pictures later but the trunk has two oil stains about 2 inchs wide an 4 inchs long on either side of the bottom near bumper. Also the leak is fixed aswell just havnt washed the car yet😂

 

oil drain plug , i got it replaced just was wondering if the oil was from that leak or something else
the trunk also has a full system in back aswell but didnt noticed an oil inside
