Need help

Hey guys so im from nj and im trying to pass inspection. I have a test pipe I was failing because i didnt have a cat. I talked to someone on fb and he told me to weld up a heat shield and to buy a o2 sensor extender and i should pass. I almost got threw but some guy noticed on the camera the tack welds so they failed me. So i bought this new test pipe but it has the shape of a cat welded to it. I went today and i failed for o2 sensor heater not ready so she didn't even look for the cat. How do i get my o2 heater to be ready? Also we unplugged my afr from the old test pipe and installed it to the new one now its reading 14.8 and wont mov3 i got a new sensor a year ago for the gauge. Anyone know how to reset it?

The only way to get the o2 heater ready is to drive the car around 55mph in the highway for at least 1-2hrs straight.
Sometimes could take more time.
You should buy a cheap scanner from Walmart they have it for $25 and you can see if The vehicle is ready or not yourself
instead of wasting time going to the inspection station.

does there have to be a cat to turn this o2 to ready or does it not matter?

As long as you have the o2 sensor spacer/extender it will work without a cat

Me and a friend just installed this

https://www.lancershop.com/customer/product.php?productid=5802&cat=140&bestseller=Y

and this to pass the visual part

http://www.siliconeintakes.com/dsm-intercooler-piping/high-flow-cat-p-572.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwuO3cBRAyEiwAzOxKsnPMXAv5e7p MVzNr3Vh-DGc9X1BePLzTejH_jlu9GN50l8hAIlU8iRoCwlYQAvD_BwE

so im running dp to that as my test pipe then straight pipe all the way back. I went like a hour after and failed as soon as they plugged it up for cat and 02 heaters. So your saying i need to do more driving for the drive cycle to trigger the o2 and i should be fine? I have a obd reader not the best one lol

Yep That part will work
If you have the obd reader then just check on the readiness status.
NJ inspection are the worst for any modified car. They failed my friends accord cause he
added sidemarker lights to his fenders.

lmao yeah its annoying as **** i failed 3 times already. I first tryed to weld a heat sheild up and they saw the tack welds but they called me out on it so i bough the fake cat that i attached.
Best part is i passed 2 years ago and i haven't done anything new to the exhaust and they failed me this time around, so **** makes no sence. Just hoping this o2 sensor turns on before i go to OC in 2 weeks.
