I got into Evo's in 2003 - after I sold my 96 GSX times flying'....I sold my 08 last year as i can't keep up with all the cars...But I'm thinking to pickup another one! haha 2014 or 2015 with low low miles. I cant get away from them, Cars are great, Evo 8,9 is cool! but old fart like me needs some luxury ! and less raw.

I really liked how it looked when they first came out but I could not afford one at the time. Then last year I decided I needed a weekend car and it had to be manual transmission. Also, a friend of mine has one and kept telling me that I should get one so we can cruise together. And now we do.

Needed a new daily to replace my S2K and my 2007 Si sedan. Liked the 370Z but I needed to fit gear in the trunk or backseat. Which the 370Z had none. So I got my 14 GSR.

Everyone in my circle either had a WRX and/or STI. Great cars obviously, and nothing wrong with them. Initially, I just wanted to be different but after seeing the light I knew which direction to follow.

I wanted an EVO ever since I was 15 years old. The technology into the Active Yaw Control and Super AWD system is what really impressed me. It seems to be the best car you could get stock that was closest to a rally car. The high performance on and off road, turning ability, and price was incomparable (other than STI) to me. I've never had more fun driving a car in my life.

Back in the mid 2000's, some buddies had S2K's and Evo IX's. I fell in love with the AP2. So I got one. When the X debut, my buddy got a MR. I thought it was great. Eventually replaced my S2K with a X.

Had my eye on an Evo since they came into the states. Test drove a couple 8's back in the day. Timing was right on my purchase for an X, and I feel like the interior upgrades made the car a livable DD. Have since had to sell the X, but loved every minute of it on the street and track.

Gran Turismo 2. From the first day I picked the Evo as my starting car and modded the dick off of it...I knew one day it would be mine.
Took me until I was 45 to afford one (not just to buy but to keep it running) so every time I park it, I look back and say...dayyyummmmn.
Says a lot when I had the budget for a used 911, GTR, Gallardo, R8...etc but something about the Evo, especially the MR just checked off more boxes on the smiles-per-hour meter.
I would have went for the 8 or 9 but they're absolute unicorns in Canada, and never a left-hand drive.
Peace
